How are you deploying your projects today?

Building software locally is one thing. Making it reliable for real users is an entirely different problem.

Suddenly you care about deployment pipelines, environments, logs, monitoring, DNS, backups, secrets, scaling, networking, database migrations, uptime, rollback strategies, and what happens when something breaks at three in the morning.

So I'm curious how everyone here handles deployment.

Are you using a major cloud provider? A VPS? Containers? Kubernetes? Serverless infrastructure? Platform-as-a-service? Your own hardware? A combination of several services?

And more importantly, what does your deployment process actually look like?

Can you push to Git and automatically deploy? Do you have staging and production environments? Automated tests? Infrastructure as code? Monitoring and alerts? Automated backups? Rollbacks?

There is a tendency to overcomplicate infrastructure because modern tooling gives us an enormous number of options. A small application might suddenly end up with Docker, Kubernetes, multiple cloud services, message queues, several databases, and twelve monitoring dashboards.

Sometimes that's necessary. Sometimes it isn't.
