We keep your threads, replies, and messages for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and personal information; public posts may be retained in anonymized form so that discussions stay readable for other users.
Direct messages are encrypted at rest on our servers, so their contents aren't stored in plain text. We use industry-standard measures to protect the rest of your data, but no system is perfectly secure — if you notice anything suspicious with your account, report it right away.
